Privacy Policy
FabriDock is sold by Copper City Designs LLC. Effective 2026-10-19. Last updated 2026-11-04.
This page explains what FabriDock stores about you, why, and who else ever sees it. The short version: we keep what the app needs to work, and we do not sell or share it for advertising. We measure visits to our website ourselves, to learn which posts and links bring people here, with no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers, and we stop if your browser asks us to.
What we store
- Your account: your email address, your name if you give one, when you last signed in, and when you agreed to these policies. Your password is never stored. We keep a one-way scrambled version of it (Argon2id) that can check a password but cannot be turned back into one.
- Your business data: everything you enter, such as printers, filament, products, prices, orders, expenses and settings. It belongs to you. We store it so the app can show it back to you, and for no other purpose.
- Files you upload: product and spool photos, and 3D model files. Photos are resized when you upload them, and any location data inside them (for example GPS from a phone camera) is removed before they are saved. Model files are stored as you uploaded them.
- Your purchase: the amount, the date, and reference numbers from our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
- Messages you send us through the app or the contact form, such as feature requests and questions.
- Sign-in records, for security: each time someone signs in to your account or tries to, we record when, whether it worked, the IP address it came from and the type of browser and device. We use these only to protect your account: to spot a sign-in from a device you have not used before and tell you about it, to stop people guessing passwords or codes, and to look into it if you think your account was misused. They are deleted after 90 days.
- Visits to our website: when you open a page of our public website (not the app once you are signed in), we record the time, the page, the website that sent you there (its name only, such as reddit.com, never the full address), and the campaign tags in the link you followed, if it had any (such as “utm_source=reddit”). These are kept against a random code in a cookie, so we can count visitors without counting a reload twice. We do not record your IP address, your browser or device, or anything you type into a form, and we do not try to identify you from your browser's characteristics (“fingerprinting”). If you then create an account from that browser, its visits are linked to your account, so we can see which posts, links and websites bring customers.
If you ask a shop for a quote
Shops that use FabriDock can share a quote request form. If you fill one in, your name, email address and what you write (and the quantity, date and link, if you add them) are sent to that shop and stored in its FabriDock account, and the shop is emailed a copy so it can reply to you. The shop decides how it uses your request, so its own privacy policy applies too; FabriDock stores and delivers it on the shop's behalf and uses it for nothing else. We do not measure visits to request forms. To have a request deleted, ask the shop; it is also deleted if the shop deletes it or closes its account. A request form records nothing about you beyond what you type, apart from a temporary note of your connection's address, kept in memory for an hour, to stop the form being flooded.
Who else sees it
Only the services that are needed to run FabriDock:
- Stripe processes payments. When you buy, you enter your card details on Stripe's checkout page, under Stripe's own privacy policy.
- Brevo delivers our emails, such as password reset links, a link to confirm your email address, a welcome, two getting-started tips, receipts for what you buy, and a shop's copy of a quote request sent to it. It receives the email addresses and the message. If you tick “send me tips and news”, Brevo also keeps you on our mailing list with your first name, whether you are on the trial, the free plan or a paid edition, and which editions you own, so news reaches the people it is about.
- Telegram delivers private alerts to the owner of FabriDock about new accounts, purchases, refunds, messages you send us and security events. An alert can include your email address, your name or shop name, what you wrote to us, and for a security event the IP address involved.
Tips and news are optional: every one has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off in Settings at any time, which also takes you off the mailing list. Emails about your account and anything you buy still come, because they are part of the service.
We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anything. We would only hand it to anyone else if the law required it, apart from the sales records below.
Our own business records
We use account information — when you signed up, when you last used FabriDock, whether you are on a trial or have bought, and your purchases — to keep records for running Copper City Designs LLC: for example how many accounts are active, how many people buy, and our sales and tax records, how many shops use each part of FabriDock (for example, how many have added a printer), and which websites and campaigns bring new accounts and sales, so we know what to improve and where to spend our time. These are counts and totals for our own use, not a profile of you: we count whether something exists, and never read what you have entered. Sales records (the date, the plan, the amount and the sales tax) go to our accountant and to tax authorities, as the law requires.
Cookies and tracking
FabriDock sets only its own cookies, for these purposes:
- Signing in: the cookies that keep you signed in and protect the sign-in form.
- Security: a random code that lets us recognise a browser you have signed in from before, so we only email you about sign-ins from new devices. It is never used for anything else.
- Measuring visits (“fd_mv” and “fd_ms”): a random visitor code, kept for 180 days, and a marker that ends 30 minutes after your last page, so moving around the site counts as one visit. They are only set on our public website, and only read by us.
There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts on this site, and nothing we record about visits is sold or shared with anyone, including for advertising.
Your choice: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we record no visits and set no visit cookies. You can also block or delete our cookies in your browser: the website and the app keep working, except that blocking all cookies also stops you signing in.
Keeping your account safe
Each business's data is kept separate and is only shown to that business's signed-in account. Password reset links expire after one hour, work once, and are stored in scrambled form. Changing your password signs out every other session.
You can turn on two-step sign-in in Your account, so signing in also needs a code from an app on your phone. Its secret is stored encrypted, and its backup codes in scrambled form. We email you when someone signs in to your account from a new device, and when several wrong codes are typed for it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. To delete your account and everything in it, email contact@coppercitydesigns.com from the address you signed up with. We may keep a record of your purchase where tax or accounting law requires it.
An account that has never been paid for and has not been used for 60 days is deleted automatically, including any files uploaded to it. We email you 7 days before.
Visit records from a browser that never creates an account are deleted 180 days after its last visit. Visits linked to an account are kept with the account and deleted with it. To have yours deleted sooner, email us from the address you signed up with: we delete them and keep your account as it is.
To make sure each person gets one free trial, we keep a one-way code made from your email address after an account is deleted. It cannot be turned back into your email. It only lets us tell that an address has had a trial before.
Children
FabriDock is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
